Applications for Interest Sessions

For the 2025 NC ACDA Fall Conference

NC ACDA invites proposals for those who wish to present an Interest Sessions at the 2025 Fall Conference to be held October 10 and 11 on the campus Queens University in Charlotte.

Our theme this year “Deeply Rooted: Experiencing our Musical Paths Together, Nurturing Choral Communities, and Sharing Traditions” reflects that our membership encompasses many areas and levels of the choral arts, we are looking for interest sessions that will speak to the diversity of conference attendees. We’re looking for your best interest session ideas to help our members reach their full potential, be challenged and inspired, and advance their art regardless of where they are within their choral journey. We encourage sessions of all shapes and sizes in order to address the current needs of our membership in the current choral climate.

Applications will be reviewed anonymously, and adjudicators will use the National ACDA Interest Session Rubric.  If your interest session has need of a specific demonstration choir, please include a recording of that ensemble so that it can be adjudicated by our performing choirs committee. 

The application window will be open from April 1, 2025 through June 1, 2025 at 5:00pm. Applicants will be notified of their status by the end of June, early July at the latest.
